CSEA 100th Annual Delegates Meeting

October 18 thru 22 2010

The ADM began with the CSEA President Danny Donohue commemorating the achievements and milestones that CSEA has reached over the decades. CSEA today has a nearly 300,000 member participation. Largely this participation is in the public sector with ever increasing numbers in the private sector. The business at hand was conducted with the purpose of making the next 100 years, as successful as the past 100 years.

Guest speakers included State Comptroller DiNapoli who was up for re-election and emphasized his position on protecting the pension system for the work force and not allowing the pension fund to be raided by anyone.

The Color Guard presented a noble exhibit and bagpipe music. There was also a portrayal of the different struggles over the years of how CSEA and labor advocates affected the labor movement in America.

All in all the labor movement in America is facing real challenges in the future, and the struggles that will be confronted have to be challenged with full steam ahead. Every person must be on board to continue our strength and achievements.
